Snow was falling this morning,
I took my dog out and we tried to run a bit,
The road was slick, so we walked.

When I was a kid, I would have been listening,
Listening to a radio or watching the tele
Hoping to hear that school was closed.

This morning the call was blocked,
Evidently, my work is not a contact for me,
No bother, though, learning will not be stopped by snow.

Now we just stay online,
Teaching through the computer
While the snowball fights and sledding go the dinosaur way.
