Phone calls,
A thing of the past,
Once old reliable,
A way to insure communication,
Now, a hassle, a pain,
A lost piece of technology
For the call is the least important phone capability,
What’s my streaming speed,
My social media platform,
My app for making life easier?
I miss the long ass cord that stretched across rooms,
“Hold on, someone’s calling on the other line,”
My mom picking up and telling me to get off,
Heck, the automated message telling me school’s off.
Now I’m supposed to be connected to email,
Notifications on,
Tethered to work.
I’m calling shenanigans,
B.S.,
Anything.
Does anyone else see the negative impact of phones?
It’s getting annoying…
