Lemon-ginger green tea,
Hot, a relaxant after another corona day
Where staying home was the norm
Except for that run-walk thing I tried this morning.
Why should I need to chill,
Every day is just like the last
Wake up, work out, waste some time,
It’s gotten to the point where naps are creeping back in.
That’s on me,
Getting bothered by the nothingness of the new normal,
The routine, the mundane, and yes, society’s asinine ways
For which I’ve run out of words to describe my anger with 5-0.
So, I’m going to stand here at my wood project home gym thing
Listening to Lonesome Road by Dwight and
Drinking lemon-ginger green tea to relax while I write.
Damn, it’s good.
