Horace Taylor’s Flower Shop
We were just about to open,
Saturdays usually start quickly
With weddings and banquets and all,
We open the door
To put the sidewalk sign out
And
Standing
There
Were
All
These
Kids.
They were on the curb,
Quiet,
Not too in the way,
But the sidewalk is not wide,
I wondered why they were there,
I yelled out to them,
They just walked away.
The last person was Blair.
He looked away and just kept going.
That’s when I knew what was happening.
