Robert Woods (A Local Dude)

My bus route is in town,
I’ve never seen so many kids walking to school,
Especially on the first day.

They are super polite,
They wave, they yell, “Hello.”
I stop and they keep walking.

The stalemate has been pushed into a corner,
The kids are opting out, flexing a little power.
At least they are still going to school.
