Perspectives: 157/365

Sara Holmes (Violin, Music Friends of Sports Parents)

They know what is right,
Both survived medical school,
Both have thriving practices,
They know what is right.

Mom thinks sports are good and bad,
She thinks very bad for me,
She’s worried I might get hurt
And ruin my chances for a violin future,

Whatever that is.

I kind of wish they had let me play
I could have survived lacrosse practice,
I could have been a phenom, not just classically trained
I wish they had let me play.

I think sports are good
I think music is good for me, too,
That’s why I’m going out in the style of Zoe Keating
And taking my athletic nature to a violin future.
