Dignity

I should be able to choose
How and when
I’d like to go.

I should not be headed
Into waiting rooms
Trying to fix worn out parts.

I am not a house
With rooms that look better
With new flooring or fresh paint

I am a man,
Organic and dated
Living a life full of choices

Except one.
