They can’t figure it out,
Dog and cat,
Even though their names
Would suggest they could.

Einstein, the pit bull
More lover than fighter
Reigns as king in the house
He took over.

Habibi, the cat
Friendly as his name suggests,
But jealous over the territory
He once had to himself.

The two have been tolerant
Peacefully coming together,
Although, they are not quite there yet.
Someday their namesakes will prevail.
