Back in kindergarten
A neighbor was going to teach me
How to play guitar

I never learned

Back in elementary school
I had to choose between a baseball glove
And learning an instrument

Best glove I ever had

Back in high school
People could hear me singing in a crowd
Since I was way off key

I went back to baseball practice

Just today I got the look
About newbies learning to play music
And the collateral damage it causes others

I’m still going to give it a go…
