Hit the retro jackpot
On my two song commute
This morning
I felt like I was back
In the ’78 Grand Prix
With the Arlo on the radio
Heading to high school
Which, coincidently, was where
My more modern form of travel was heading
Tom Petty sang of my luck, babe
Then Sammy Hagar anthemized his difficulties at
Respecting fifty-five on the drive
Before Fleetwood Mac could make an impression
I was off to work
Filled with the memory of those Rams,
Music that spoke to me, and
The carefree days of high school
