His town was one of envy
Where their best was not big enough
So they thought and they thought
And each felt like it moved for
That which had not been big enough
Became enormous in their eyes
The catch phrases extended
Their anatomical legitimacy
The bandwagons they boarded
Brought revelry to their streets
But all the self manipulation
Could not change their smallness
And the big waves
With their oceanic motion
Brought a calm confidence that
His town with the small membership
Longed for
Best he knew who he was
Best they knew who they were
Keeping one eye
On being best they could be
Without seeking an endowment
For which they were not bestowed
