The true remembrance of America
Is out there for all to see

Is it possible for this great country
To take a day
Without the crushing weight of doing business

The guys landscaping might appreciate a day
The folks in the grocery stores would too
Wawa might survive with a day off

I’m cynical
I just feel like a day to remember fallen soldiers
Should not be about the rollback prices at some box store

The service men and woman
Deserve better from our corporations
Than 20-40% off on barbecue chips

How about some true appreciation?…
