Certainly We Can Expect Decency

No one wants to admit failure
Particularly parents
But sometimes what is not right
Must be recognized
Especially when the number of chances rolled
Gets closer to being something that could have been
By admitting to the failures so apparent.

The days of social superheroes
Believing that our youth are infallible
Are gone
They make mistakes
And we fail all by not
Creating environments
Where the kids unwilling to conform
Or too willing to cross social acceptability
Must be removed from the traditional setting
Before those who can’t or won’t
Do damage to those who ARE
In a way more important than test scores or metrics

In these times when young ones
Do opposite of how they are raised
Or contrary to what is acceptable in school

Hold them accountable.
